What we offer at Northern Dermatology
Benign lesions treatments include:
Curettage of seborrheic keratoses
Annoying, cosmetically distressing or irritated seborrheic keratoses (barnacles, senile warts) are easily treated with curettage. This results in a small white scar after several months rather than an elevated brown seborrheic keratosis.
Removal of cherry angiomas
Cherry angiomas are small red nodules on the skin. A quick treatment is the use of an electrocautery device to ‘zap’ each lesion. The spots fall off after a week.
Tag removal
Annoying skin tags are easily removed from the neck, armpits and groin. Shave removal or diathermy are the most common treatment methods.
