Do I Need A Referral?

Whilst you don’t need a referral to see a dermatologist, there are advantages in obtaining a referral either from your general practitioner or from another specialist. A referral attracts a higher Medicare rebate and also gives Dr Rodins the opportunity to inform your referring doctor of the outcome of your consultation. The referral must be presented to our doctors before or at the time of the consultation.

Referrals from general practitioners are valid for 9 to 12 months – depending on circumstances. Referrals from specialists are valid for 3 months.

How Do You Bill?

Northern Dermatology is a private dermatology practice. This practice does not bulk bill for dermatology consultations or procedures. DVA patients are welcome.

What Days Can I Make An Appointment?

Dr Rodins consults at Northern Dermatology from Tuesday through Friday.
Dr Surjana consults at Northern Dermatology on Tuesday mornings and Wednesdays.
